The company Crawford Keen & Company –therefore its acronym CKC– from USA set in Argentina in 1970, the same year when the sustained development of soy cultivation began.
At that time CKC was leader for incorporating into the agricultural market soy seeds type Hood, Hood-75, Forrest, Essex, Williams, Agripro, and Stuart. Together with the seeds they incorporated inoculants, being CKC pioneer in the commercialization, in Argentina, of this kind of nitrogen fixing bacterium, with the species Rhizobium sp and Bradyrhizobium sp.
After 2001, the company was restructured with national capitals and Laboratorios CKC Argentina S.A. was created. It became stronger after two agreements signed with INTA. One of them on the installation of an industrial plant in the Park of Technological Innovation INTA Castelar, and another one of Technological Relation with the Institute of Microbiology and Agricultural Zoology, which provides assistance and monitors the production of inoculants for soy before their commercialization.
